It gives me real warmth to say that The Magical World of Zealandia is growing into exactly what I always hoped it would be.
In my mind, I’ve seen it as a garden of stories, all intertwined, where you can pick any flower and feel that they are all human, all reflections of our world.
To me, they’re a love letter to creativity.
To the need we all have to keep our imagination alive. That’s what makes us human.
To slowly grow and nurture this garden, I’ve been sharing weekly short stories in the wake of my first book.
But now, I’ve run dry.
I sit down to write, and there’s nothing left in the barrel.
All that remains are the books still in my head. Only one has made it into the world.
So, to clear the path ahead, the weekly stories must come to an end.
I’ll still reach out.
In those rare moments when the moon feels a little blue and you happen to open your inbox.
Maybe it’ll be something creative. Maybe just an update. But it won’t be often. Just a quiet wave from a friend.
Thank you for reading these stories. For letting me into your world.
It’s goodbye for now, but not forever.
James
